A switch on the microphone’s body allows you to shift easily between two range settings: “Wide” for close and medium distance and “Far” for long distance
“Wide” allows the mic to function as a standard cardioid condenser and focuses pickup on your desired sound source while blocking noise from the rear and sides
“Far” narrows the polar pattern to supercardioid for even greater directionality to pick up sound from a distance, while bypassing ambient noise
Designed for use with cameras, it comes with a camera shoe mount and has a permanently attached cable that plugs into a camera’s 3. 5 mm (1/8″) mic input
Includes a microphone stand clamp, foam windscreen, and AA battery
